Subject: United Nations Arabic Translators Examination for Recruitment

A competitive examination for the recruitment of Arabic translators will be held on 6 June 2005 at the United Nations Offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna, a number of Arabic speaking countries and other locations according > to the number and location of qualified candidates convoked for the examination.

The purpose of the examination is to establish a roster from which present and future vacancies for Arabic-language translators at United Nations Headquarters in New York and at other duty stations will be filled.
