The following is a vacancy announcement published in Al-Sharq Al-Awssat (Sat. 2
oct. 2004):

An independent judicial body in Bahrain is looking for a Legal Translator (Ref.:
LT/13).

Duties: translate judgements, legal texts and documents related to the Body's
activities from Arabic into English and vice versa. Close cooperation with top
management and senior staff.

Requirements:
* BA in English, with a major in translation, or specialized university degree
in translation or equivalent diploma.
* Minimum of 10 years experience in translation, preferably in legal
translation.
* Perfect command of Arabic and English + a good command of another foreign
language (French, Spanish or Italian).
* Computer literate.
