Accessory, in general, is an offender who harbours, protects or assists a person
who has already committed an offence or stands trial for committing an offence.



In Moroccan Penal Law, there are two sorts of 'Accessories'; a) accessory after
the fact and b) accessory before the fact. As for the latter, it is universally
considered as a direct accomplice in the offence because the offender has a
prior knowledge about the offence. In case the 'mens rea' (Guilty Mind ??????
???????) and the 'actus rues' (Guilty Act?????? ?????? ) are both associated,
the offender will be given a confinement sentence with a compulsory fine.

In regards to the second sort, the offender shall be given a suspended prison
sentence with a heavy fine or a six-month prison sentence with or without a fine
if there are no mitigating circumstances in the case.
