We require an exceptional journalist as Bureau Chief, Asia. Based in Kuala Lumpur in the iconic Twin Towers, reporting to Doha, the successful applicant will be responsible for driving and managing a talented team in the KL broadcast centre, and across AL Jazeera English's network of bureaux in Asia. They will also oversee the Broadcast Centre's output by providing vision and insight into its content and direction.

You must have:
- A strong record in television news production and broad editorial experience in news and current affairs journalism.
- Strong leadership abilities in selecting and managing a creative and diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and management skills.
- A thorough knowledge and empathy with the issues that affect Asia and the Middle East.
- A sound knowledge of legal, ethical, HR, administration, and budgetary requirements.
- You will understand the value of setting objectives for the Kuala Lumpur management team and coaching employees to be able to perform to the best of their abilities.
