President of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities

 

Dear All;
 
As most of you realize that our country Jordan is one of the pioneers countries who believes on human rights, and we were involved in the AD Hoc Committee meetings for issuing the UN Convention for Persons With Disability Rights since 2002, and the official delegations always consisted from persons with disabilities who are leaders in disability and human rights fields like Mr. Adnan Al-aboudi who also participated in the drafting working group meetings.
 
We are proudly announcing that our country-Jordan has ratified and deposited the UN convention few days ago- to become number 18th state who deposit of the instrument of ratification to UN.
 
 
Hope this will open to us a bright future for implementing our rights on UN convention grounded, and would be encouraging step for more countries to ratify the convention.
